How We Work

Building a home is a big decision, and we don’t expect you to commit to anything before you know what’s involved. Here’s how the first part of the process looks when you get in touch with Talbot Homes.

Step 1: Pre-Build Chat

We start with a straightforward conversation about your site, your budget range and what you’re hoping to build. It’s a chance for us to understand your project and for you to ask questions, with no obligation either way.

Step 2: Project Brief Issued and Returned

Once we’ve spoken, we send through a project brief covering your site, scope, budget and timing. You complete it and send it back, and we use it to understand your project properly before the next conversation.

Step 3: Builder’s Consult and Feasibility Report

This is a paid consultation where we review your drawings, site and key considerations in detail. You’ll receive an early feasibility position based on the information available at the time, which forms the basis for a more detailed estimate if you decide to proceed.

Step 4: Initial Engagement Approval

If the feasibility report stacks up for you, this is where you formally engage Talbot Homes to move your project into the next stage. From here, we start working through design coordination and detailed estimating together.
